China, Nueva York o México. ¿Cuáles de estos lugares son para ti el mejor para patinar?
Este fin de semana se realizó la presentación del video de Rata Wheels que lleva por título; “Todo Terreno”. Bajo la dirección de José Rivera y Julio Román, pudimos ver un video muy completo. Una producción muy bien hecha, muchos lugares y gran trabajo de los patinadores que participan en este nuevo video de la compañía mexicana de llantas.
Entrando un poco en materia, definitivamente hay un contraste muy marcado en el video, y me refiero al que se puede identificar entre las ciudades de China Y Nueva York con las ciudades de México.
En todas las ciudades siempre habrá una razón por la cual o no te permitan patinar, o bien, el lugar tenga sus características que lo hagan un spot difícil y/o complicado.
Sin embargo, al ver las ciudades de China, con bancas y pisos perfectos, con spots muy amigables con el skate, con una policía que se ocupa de otras cosas menos de molestar al patinador (en algunos casos), entre otras ventajas que también comparte la ciudad de Nueva York nos permiten, aparte de ver unos excelentes trucos, una panorámica y escenarios que a la vista resultan muy complacientes.
Las grabaciones en las ciudades de México es distinto, si bien tampoco son terribles, sí son spots más complicados, por la misma naturaleza de su construcción, sumémosle la poca planeación de desarrollo urbano y muchos factores que hacen de las calles y spots mexicanos lugares muy peculiares en donde tendrás que rifarte el físico, difícilmente encontrarás un lugar perfecto, pues hasta los que así parecen tienen sus detalles y mañas.
Todos creemos que las ciudades gringas, del lejano oriente o las europeas nos van a permitir elevar nuestro nivel de skate, creo que eso es totalmente falso, aquí en México, tenemos de todo, con mayor complejidad y dificultad, por supuesto que es más cómodo un spot perfecto, pero es más satisfactorio un lugar complicado, que te haga batallar, que te haga sudar, que saques sangre en tus raspones generados por esos intentos hechos una y otra vez, pero al lograrlo solo puedes decir: ¡a Huevo!
Todo terreno es lo que nos trata de comunicar, efectivamente es muy padre y una experiencia increíble viajar a China o a Nueva York e incluso a ciudades de “moda” para patinar como Barcelona, Madrid, etc. Estoy de acuerdo en que debes visitar alguna de estas ciudades por lo menos una vez en tu vida como patinador. Pero es importante también no olvidar que tenemos lo nuestro, por eso pregunto, ¿y en México? Aquí tenemos nuestro hogar, nuestros amigos, nuestro idioma, nuestra identidad, el video nos dice que aquí por muy complicado e incluso sin que te des cuenta, tienes unos lugares magníficos para patinar, solo hace falta algo de creatividad, decisión y gusto para que salgas a patinar y a divertirte en tu ciudad, municipio o pueblo.
Un video que no puede faltar en tu colección, su contenido de skate crudo, con una combinación de sangre nueva y vieja escuela, lugares exóticos y trucos creativos, nos invitan a salir a las calles, a buscar nuevas formas de diversión y lugares en los que quizá hayas pasado a un costado sin darte cuenta que ahí es donde puedes realizar algún truco que vayas a recordar toda tu vida.

Spiegel believes Abu Dhabi is different. “Disney made a smart choice. The infrastructure, safety, and existing leisure developments create an ideal entry point,” he told CNN earlier this year. “It’s a much more controlled and calculated move.”
Under its Tourism Strategy 2030, Abu Dhabi aims to grow annual visitors from 24 million in 2023 to more than 39 million by the end of the decade. With Disneyland as a centerpiece, those targets may well be surpassed. Orlando’s head start remains formidable — it still offers multiple Disney and Universal parks, has decades of brand loyalty, and an infrastructure built to handle tens of millions of tourists annually.
But Abu Dhabi is catching up fast. Its combination of frictionless travel, year-round comfort, cutting-edge attractions, and a cultural scene that adds depth to the experience gives Abu Dhabi its own unique selling point, potentially offering a model for the next generation of theme park capital.
